Nicki Glen of NGM has spoken and run workshops at a wide variety of events including local business clubs and veterinary industry conferences and congresses. Her aim is to give an interactive and dynamic presentation which involves the audience. If you have a particular topic in mind which is not listed below, please contact Nicki.

Topics covered:

  • Networking: a practical session using the concept of Six Degrees of Separation. This gets relative strangers to interact and connect with each other within a matter of five minutes. You'll be surprised. At VPMA Congress review from BMJ:
  •   "In a session on networking, Ms Nicki Glen, director of N G Marketing, was keen to help people make a good impression. She spoke of the value of making new business contacts and keeping in touch with them. She suggested that, when in a room full of strangers, it was likely that everyone would have something in common. She advised asking open-ended questions to discover more about the person and pointed out that asking more personal questions (such as about a person's interests) was often useful in building trust. The session ended with a networking exercise, involving everyone asking various questions of each other in order to discover a commonality and an unusual fact — which many of them duly did, as they reported back at the end of the session."
  • A client's eyes view: reviewing customer profiling and responses from Mystery Shopping.
  • How the public see advertising: a practical session demonstrating how advertising is perceived by its audience. This encourages a reality check when developing creative ideas.
  • Keeping your contacts: looking at what it takes to develop a bond of trust with customers and suppliers.
